MARTIN BOLT

Prior to establishing his own firm focusing on providing legal advice related to employee benefit issues (primarily to to individuals and small-to-medium-sized employers), Martin Bolt was an attorney in Houston, Texas with the national law firms of Baker Botts, L.L.P. and Locke Liddell & Sapp, L.L.P., where he provided legal advice regarding employee benefits to numerous corporations, including Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies  Martin Bolt focuses on all areas employee benefits law, particularly those arising under the Internal Revenue Code and ERISA, including: tax-qualified and nonqualified plans and welfare benefit plans (including plan design, compliance and implementation of 401(k) plans, cafeteria plans, equity-based incentive plans, and severance plans); executive compensation matters (including stock options, employment agreements, and severance agreements); addressing COBRA compliance issues; addressing employee benefits matters in corporate mergers and acquisitions; and dealing with the Internal Revenue Service and U.S. Department of Labor in compliance matters.
